Alexander Csontos
Founder & Coach
Alexander Csontos is a highly respected wrestling coach, community leader, and advocate for athlete development, best known as the founder of the Culpeper Warriors Wrestling Club. He established the club to create a positive, disciplined environment where young athletes can grow through the sport of wrestling while developing strong character, leadership, and resilience. Alexander served as the head wrestling coach at Culpeper County High School for 12 years, where he played a key role in building competitive programs and mentoring student‑athletes both on and off the mat. In addition to his high school coaching career, he has dedicated 10 years as a coach for the Virginia National Team, contributing to athlete development at the state and national competitive levels. Beyond coaching, Alexander has been deeply involved in wrestling leadership and governance across Virginia. He is a former member of the Virginia Amateur Wrestling Association (VAWA) Board of Directors and currently serves as the NWCA Women’s Director for the state of Virginia, where he actively supports the growth, expansion, and advocacy of women’s wrestling programs. Alexander’s coaching philosophy centers on cultivating the “warrior spirit”—a mindset rooted in perseverance, accountability, discipline, and respect. He believes wrestling is a powerful vehicle for teaching life skills that extend well beyond competition, including confidence, work ethic, and personal responsibility. Under his leadership, the Culpeper Warriors Wrestling Club has become a welcoming and inclusive organization focused on long‑term athlete development, academic responsibility, sportsmanship, and community engagement. Through coaching, mentorship, and initiatives such as youth development programs and scholarships, Alexander continues to strengthen wrestling’s impact in Culpeper and throughout Virginia.
